Quince Project is an art collective created by Bianey Esquibel. It experiments with common elements in quinceañeras such as nostalgic catholicism and phases of womanhood—all existing in the tradition.
The experimentation aims to open conversations about personal experiences, relationship to femininity, coming of age in an immigrant upbringing, and the trajectory of the tradition.
Opening night for group show installations will be at the Arlene Francis Center on Friday, August 23rd 2024, 5–11pm and then move to Neon Raspberry from 8/31–9/30.
